Pizhichil is an exclusive kerala style of body massage. Luke warm herbal oil is poured all over the body for about 60 to 90 minutes continuously. It is applied evenly on the body in a very rhythmic way and for a period of 7 to 21 days depending on the character of afflictions. Its impact is great and the effect is very wonderful in rheumatic treatments like arthritis, paralysis, hemiplegia, nervous disorders etc.
Njavarakizhi is a small muslin bag filled with certain medicinal warm puddings. its application is sudation process for perspiration. The whole body or any specific part is massaged regularly for about 60 to 90 minutes per day for a period of 14 days. It is very effective for all types of rheumatism, joint pains, emaciation of limbs, high blood pressure and cholesterol, atrophy etc.
